We are experiencing another extremely dry monsoon season at our location.  Since June 15 we have measured only 0.39" of rain.  Despite the fact that the average temperature this summer has been lower than the past two, our soil moisture level is so low that we have to water our xeriscape to keep it alive.  The current extreme heat event is predicted to continue for the next week with high temperatures in the 110 F or higher range and little probability of rainfall; no relief in sight.
