Turtle Creek remains "plump," and lawn continues growing wildly. Mowing every 5-6 days. Birds frequent the feeder and bring their fledglings. Hummingbirds aren't as plentiful this year but we have regulars. Turkeys galore. Deer fawns are beginning to lose their spots. Weeklong wildfire smoke from Canada postponed our camping and mountain-biking trip as AQI values were up to 142 this past week and lots of us were feeling it in our chest and our eyes. High AC use due to keeping house closed up. We thought rainfall would take care of smoke but it did not. Corn and soybean fields look lush and strong, but standing water is present in low spots.
