It's beginning to get very dry now, with no significant rain here in weeks.  The lawn is pretty brown and not much is growing.  The annual flowers are dead.  Perennials are struggling.  Some trees are dropping some leaves early, and some like sycamore and river birch are completely brown and dropping most leaves on drier sites.  The creek is down to pools, and ponds are down by a few feet.  Pastures are brown  and eaten to bare dirt in some areas.  Could be combine fires soon.
