At last the area received an amount of rain to write home about.  Still it was less than areas to the north but we're not complaining.  It has brightened up the lawns, late varieties of grain in the fields tho too late to change yields.  Lots of farm field work was accomplished this past week prior to the weekend rains.  Field fires were a big worry at that time.
