New fall landscape plantings are requiring more frequent watering.  Several established deciduous trees on our property required watering this past week due to signs of stress.   River Birch trees in our yard have already lost 1/3 of their leaves.  Lawns are drying out with brown areas expanding unless shaded.  Local soybean crops are almost completely yellow and corn crops are not far behind. Local rivers and streams are all lower than normal for this time of year.
