For the week I received 1.26" of rain, surface conditions are Mildly Wet but that is also normal for the end of March.    My water year running total is now very close to the 30yr.avg. My pond is overflowing about 1/2" and our local creek is flowing slightly above normal. Spring activity on the pond is off to a good start. Momma goose will be on the nest any day now and migrating ducks are stopping to rest on the pond (there were 8 Wood ducks on the pond this morning). The early spring flowers are recovering from the last cold spell and I am still hoping for a good bloom. The lawns are greening up nicely and starting to grow. My bird feeder activity has slowed down, I suspect there is a hawk of two using the area as a hunting ground.
