The first part of March was dry but the past 10 days has seen several storms and the total water is now 1.83" compared to an average 0.74". The juniper and pinon trees look very healthy, and plants grasses and weeds are leafing out and growing. Soil is more moist and less dusty than normal. Animals and birds remain scarce. The population of coyotes, rabbits, mice and pack rats continues to be well below normal.
