Current conditions at 7AM: Overcast, no wind. Ripples on the Potomac River from the WNW probably influenced by the outgoing tide, squalls in the middle of the river seemingly due to a light, intermittent breeze from the east, trash and debris dots the entire stretch of river, no sign of Hydrilla, three fish jumping, about eight inches of visibility into the water. Temperature: 69°F. USGS 01653600 Piscataway Creek gauge height at 6:30 EST: 3.24 feet. Songbirds, including goldfinches, crows, crickets, mushrooms, spiders, cormorants, ospreys and gulls by the flock.
