Help Needed

The CoCoRaHS Network is a grassroots volunteer network which can always use more help. If you would like to give of your time and talents please contact your local state coordinator who can direct you to where your efforts are most needed.

Early on CoCoRaHS set a goal of one observer per square mile in urban areas and one observer per 36 square miles in rural areas. With many new states joining the network, we will need the help of many individuals to achieve this goal.

Some possible opportunities that may exist in your state are:

  • Becoming a local county coordinator
  • Preparing training materials
  • Organizing training sessions
  • Planning educational programs
  • Recruiting volunteers
  • Data quality control
  • Organizing and making hail pads
