Current conditions at 7AM: Breeze and squalls on the Potomac River from the WSW, no whitecaps, a few pieces of trash and debris dot the river, including some old patches of Hydrilla, a couple of plastic bottles and a large white object on the shore down by Sheridan Point, lots of fish activity with seventeen fish jumping and small fry along the Maryland shore, about ten inches of visibility into the water. Temperature: 57°F. USGS 01653600 Piscataway Creek gauge height at 6:30 EST: 2.20 feet. Canada geese, Songbirds, crows, fish crows, crickets, one cottontail, spiders, cormorants, lots of gulls, and ospreys with a young osprey just to the north of us also apparently learning how to fly.
