Current conditions at 7AM: Overcast, steady rain, no wind, the leaves are falling straight down from the trees. Ripples on the Potomac River from the WNW, one piece of natural debris moving slowly upstream, no fish, much improved water conditions, about one and a half feet of visibility into the water, the alluvial rocks of the native American fish weir can be seen below the surface, the river bottom is red-brown with no sign of submerged aquatic vegetation. Temperature: 44°F. USGS 01653600 Piscataway Creek gauge height at 7:30 EST: 3.05 feet. Songbirds, one buck and one doe.
