Mostly clr,22.9f(146.5 hrs before the frzng pt.was reached 11a 32.0f/1123a 31.8f) dwpt 16.6f, pres s 30.37" wnd near calm...overnight lows 20.3f @ 401a, dwpt 16.0f @ 712a)...strm notes, totals snfl 6.8" water both ra/melted sn = 0.94" p/gust nnw 31...sn of varying intensity ended arnd 530p shortly thereafter a CLR line and a grt sunset, sn was hvy/wet however the last few inches were much dryer as the tmp went into the U20s, some damage to the pine trees in the area mostly small branches however there was 1 that measured 4" in diameter all fell to grnd w/no damage to vehicles or bldg... Finally to those folks that were arnd for the BLZD of ‘78, happy 38th anniversary... my gosh seems like it was ydy, as far as winter sn goes 2014/15 record brkng was my kind of winter, 66 days w/1+ grnd sn and L/Jan- Feb strm after strm doesn’t get any better if you like that sorta thing, but the strm of my lifetime was historic BLZD of ‘78, trav up the coast intensifying the whole way, bombed arnd ACK and STALLED for a time, hvy sn, near hurricane force wnds and for folks along the coast the “FOUR” consecutive devastating “FLOOD” tides. I was working @ the Beach sta (Eng 1/Lad 1) on Shirley St which parallels Winthrop Shore Drv, we were in the thick of it, got home for only 24 hrs after 8 straight days. Doubt this strm will be MATCHED at least in the rest of my lifetime....
