 Sorry for the late report--the cylinder was frozen to the pole and I couldn't get it off to measure the frozen snow/rain inside of it! It hasn't precipitated since 7 AM, so this is a valid report for what was in the gauge at 7 AM. After yesterday's reading, it did snow some, but it melted on contact. I've updated the report to reflect that. Not sure how much of the 0.05 inches is from snow and how much is from rain. It was raining at yesterday's observation time, but it turned to snowflakes after that. Then it turned back to rain before it stopped. So the 0.05 inches comes from both snow and rain precipitation.
