This total is not adding the 3.55 inches of rain during the past 24 hours ending at 6 AM this morning. Streets in my neighborhood are severely flooded up to the sidewalks in some areas. Several tree limbs up to 0.5 inch in diameter are down and trash cans and trash bags are either knocked down or are floating in the streets. Yards are saturated and have ponding of water scattered about. There was a tornado to the east of this neighborhood starting at 6:58 AM and moving northeast towards I-10 and the Pearl River Wildlife Management Area as the sky here was green in color and winds gusted up to 25 to 35 MPH or more. |
