Intense thunderstorm in the morning, 2.69 inches in the gauge for the 24 hours. Vivid lightning and almost constant thunder for a good while. Motorist got a photo of spin-iup tornado a few miles distant. Some local streets impassable with high water, lots of traffic lights out. Our retention pond was down about 18 inches (typical for late summer) and is now at overflow. Landscaping looks healthy and healthy for this time of year. |
