Station Name: Estacada 5.2 WNW
Report Date: 5/6/2024
Submitted: 5/06/2024 8:25 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
It's been wet lately. Wednesday afternoon, Thursday, and Friday morning were somewhat dry, and there was a frenzy of grass mowing in the area. In general grass was tall and wet, and most mown areas have windrows of clippings as a result. The creek is noisy and has plenty water, the chickens' water trays have filled up with rain. Children's baseball games were probably put off schedule. Even the oaks and ashes are leafing out now, and many things are in bloom. Swallows are revamping the nest box over the back porch. Fire danger is low. Fields are mostly muddy and sticky now, but farmers got in a long work day on Thursday. The blackberry vines are growing vigorously, and the creeping blackberry and wild strawberries are in bloom, as well as lettuce.
