This week the total rain was 0.43", but the soil remains moist. Grass & garden plants are growing well. (Had to mow today.) The forest is nearly leafed out and losing the spring green in some places. New wildflowers blooming include blue bead lily, Solomon's plume, and both Fraser and umbrella magnolia trees. Large-flowered trilliums have turned pink. More warblers have returned to nest. The drinking spring remains excellent. The microhydro is still running on full.  View
