Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: IL-MCH-13
Station Name: Bull Valley 2.5 WNW
Report Date: 5/5/2024
Submitted: 5/05/2024 3:15 PM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
0.93 inches of rain fell at my station this week with anything beyond a few hundredths falling on 3 days. This is 0.10 inches below the normal for the month, and above normal for YTD and Water YTD. Areas NW of Chicago received lower amounts of rain and missed the stormy conditions that occurred in the central and south Chicagoland. Stormy weather predicted for the coming Tuesday. Everything is green, lilac is blooming, serviceberries blossoms have fallen and fruit is appearing, wild black raspberry bushes are blooming early, daffodils are making their last stand, and mushrooms are sprouting in mulched areas. Orioles and rose-breasted groosbeaks are back and the scarlet tanager is a striking sight at the platform feeder.
