Conditions are much improved with nearly 2.25" of rain over the past week; however, only one rain event resulted in run-off. Grasses are heading out with less leaf/blade than normal; the hay crop here looks light. Soil moisture is much better, and pond levels are approaching normal for this time of year. A neighbor reports, however, that his ponds remain nearly 3 feet below normal. Wet-weather springs still aren't flowing.
