 At 1645 it got very, very dark and at 1646 rain began lightly then in 2 mins. it was heavy with continuous thunder. Could not see across the Potomac River (to the west) because it was raining so heavily there. At 1705 the heavy rain began here with lots of wind - 11 MPH max. gust. Heavy rain stopped at 1720 with all rain stopping at 1826. There was about 10 minutes of rolling thunder at 1815.
