Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
Week of November 22-28
    • It was a wet week — 4 days of reported rain for a weekly total of 1.61” plus 2 days of “T”. Mill Brook continues to have a flowing channel that makes happy sounds, logs are the basis for little falls, and even some displaced leaf clumps re-congregate and make the basis for tiny ripples that gurgle. AND Small Falls on the Lower Branch has continued to flow all week. The stream began its wet and dry fluctuations about mid-May; Small Falls drying up was the first indicator. In August and September, even the Swimming Hole completely dried up.
    • Today (Nov 30) is the first day of deer hunting season with shot-gun; so unless a person is actually hunting, its best to just stay out of the woods.
    • My juncos continue to enjoy my breakfast seeds along with a few other feathered friends.
