Seems relentlessly chilly--few days when mercury reaches 50 degrees. No signs of frost at night, though. And not enough SUNSHINE--very damp, gray & chilly.
Crocuses are long gone; daffodils not very robust this year; magnolia has plump buds; clematis and dogwood are starting to sprout.
Male goldfinches are very YELLOW. Male & female downy woodpeckers are stuffing themselves with suet--they must have a nest nearby. Feeders must be refilled twice a week.
Local golf course remains closed; no telling if/when it will reopen.
Local "essential" hardware store remains open but on a slightly limited schedule. On sunny/mild days, many customers, especially tradesmen (plumbers, electricians). Cranberry bog manager visits 2-3 times/week.
Although this is not weather-related, it bears mentioning that local historic sites remain closed, with dire consequences for these attractions. All had expected a busy season (school trips, etc.) for town's 400th anniversary. Those events, including the return of "Mayflower," have been postponed, and could be rescheduled again, depending on the pandemic.
