After several weeks without rain and April much dryer than usual, this week brought just over 2.5 inches of rain (about 4 times what's normal for the entire month of May). And just minutes after making today's observation, another band of rain is passing through. I haven't been aware of any roads flooding, but the ground was well dried out before the first storm arrived. The standing water in the ditch by the road did take a day or two to sink in between storm systems.
