The weekly rain total is .06.  The last 2 tomato plants have been pulled, and despite giving away bags of green tomatoes, I still have plenty left.  The paste tomatoes had hard green shoulders all summer (the first time this variety has done that), but that has gone as the weather cooled.  The last of the potted plants are indoors.  Birds are looking for water in the birdbath, so I think I should fill it until colder days and empty it late each afternoon.  I am seeing more birds in the feeders and on the lawn — sparrows, mourning doves, blue jays.
