It was another wet week with 1.45" of rain and some rain every day. The toe of the hill is weeping; the soil is soft. The temps are mild with a high of 73° and no freezing. The wood frogs had another orgy day and laid eggs in the pond. Yellow crocuses are blooming. Daffodils have buds. The first wildflower--a tiny, alien mustard called Whitlow grass--is starting to bloom. Despite the rain, the French Broad River has dropped to 4,000 cfs. Perhaps an indication that most rain is soaking in. Our microhydro is running at full. Our drinking spring remains at excellent quality and quantity.
