My neighborhood received minor rains of 3 to 4 tenths rain falls which were needed by newly growing farm crops.  The grass was getting brittle and browning on light soil. May was 1.71" below normal and so far for June it is 0.40" below. From May 1st to date we've had 2.60".  Ditches are low or dry.  Marshes and sloughs are receding.  The Baraboo River is holing at 2 to 3 ft below normal. It has been great week for putting up hay and outdoor construction as well as outdoor activities.
