Since last reported on 05/10/2026, recorded 0.45" from Multi-Day Accumulation from 05/13/2026 through 5/20/2026. Daily precipitation records were 0.16" on 05/21 and 05/23 for a total precipitation of 0.77". Topsoil sample taken today indicates dry soil within the top half inch. Below that, the soil is modestly moist, and I was able to pack it in my hands. With the recent precipitation, have not provided any supplemental water to trees. All coniferous trees have good size candles. The Cottonwood trees completely leafed out during my absence and the Aspen that were freeze damaged are on the mend. We had our neighbors covered our annuals while we were away as we did have freezing temperatures early this past week. We are reaching the point where freezing temperatures and frozen precipitation is over until next season. Grass has really sprouted with fairly decent coverage and length. I will be completing the first mowing of the season this coming week. I have not heard of any wildfires in our immediate area. With continued measurable precipitation but still below normal for the month, I will maintain a Condition Scale of Mildly Dry.
