The gusty north wind died earlier in the week and the fog returned, making the landscape quite moist--our gardens are green and lush. Ocean conditions improved for fishing and water sports. And, the area seems packed with visitors for the three-day weekend. It's been delightful this week to watch an adult Song Sparrow bring in two very chubby youngsters to the gardens and show them how to pick up seed and drink from the fountain. Have also seen some young Anna's Hummingbirds and Jays, so it's been a good breeding season so far.
