A good soaking rain would really be nice.  This station is currently running at a MTD NOAA Norm deficit of -1.66" (54%), however YTD and WYTD are still near normal.  Corn and beans are both up in area fields and the soil is quickly drying out.  I again provided supplemental watering to the vegetable plants in my garden.  The Green, Rock and Mississippi Rivers are all holding steady levels and are not forecasted to see any rise or fall in the next week.  The weather forecast is not showing any great chance of rain, just a rise in temperatures to the mid and upper 80's which will further dry out the soil.  It appears May will end being much drier than April.  Lots of hummingbirds at the feeders.
