2.87” rain this week, Saturday's reading of 2.17” was the highest since April 5 2025. Still way below normal, so calling it on the dry side. Creeks, seeps, and ditches flowing. Ponds coming up, but need another 16” to fill them. More fields sprouting, raspberries fruiting. Sun-Tues temps hit 90F, but low humidity so we could stay on the porch. Deer, quail, kingbirds, and hummingbirds providing entertainment. Big black rat snake successfully crossed the road in front of us. With a crash, a tree fell in the north woods. 2” rain must've loosened the soil enough. There's a steep dropoff there. Frogs and toads very vocal.
