Despite a precipitation deficit of nearly 2 inches for the month and 6 inches for the month the vegetation seems to be tolerating it well and creek creek levels are not too low. We had a hard freeze 48 hours ago which did in most of the remaining deciduous plants. Most of the leaves are off the hardwoods and in a blink of an eye the fall colors have waned and we can see our neighbors through the woods now .
