Another week with no rain as we finished out the last water year with a 13 inch deficit against normal.  Trees are showing definite signs of stress while the normal early fall recovery in the pasture is no where in sight.   Ground is very hard and dry with major cracks. Our creek is completely dry while nearby larger creeks are at very low levels.   Meanwhile, resulting both from very timely rains in July and the wonders of plant genetics, bean yields were at record levels.
