A dry and cooler week but with several days of cumulus clouds around. No precipitation fell last week. The monsoon season (6/15-9/30) ended with 6.03 inches of precipitation. 1.58 inches below normal. Highs were in the 70's all week except one day with a high of 80° on Thursday. Lows were in the 40's all week, except on Saturday, with a low of 58°. The low of the week was 43° on Monday. Winds were strong on Friday and Saturday. No change in the surrounding open wildland areas but leaves on the shrubs and trees are showing a lot of fall color now. Saw a garter snake at the side of the pond with a fish in its mouth and a scrub jay at the birdbath.
