Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: IN-MD-38
Station Name: Pendleton 5.9 WSW
Report Date: 10/5/2025
Submitted: 10/05/2025 9:56 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Dry
Description:
Downgrading from mildly dry to moderately dry due to the worsening conditions. No rain for 9 days on top of already dry conditions. Local rivers and streams still appear to be below normal levels. Local fields are very dry. Farmers were still taking out soybeans this past week. Farmers are saying the lack of significant rain the last few months will hurt yields. Local construction projects appear to be at near normal schedules with no rain delays. Our trees that benefit from the watering of the lawn are doing well. The trees in the back of the property have been losing leaves due to the dry conditions. I've had to rake those leaves weekly due to the amount. Our flowers are watered daily. We had to water the front lawn again this week due to visible stress. The ground is still noticeably cracked on the surface and nearly without moisture. We have fire warnings for our and surrounding counties due to the dry conditions and low humidity.
