Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: CA-MD-45
Station Name: Mendocino 0.5 NE
Report Date: 10/5/2025
Submitted: 10/05/2025 6:34 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Dry
Description:
An early season series of storms yielded 1.18 inches of rain over three days. Significantly, .86 of that fell in three hours in some heavy downpours. Fortunately, there was a long break that allowed the water to soak in. If that rate were to go on for many hours, our headlands cliffs would be falling. Temperatures have continued to be mild during the day even during the showers. The rain has not yet been enough to see green in the fields or build up the ground water level, but our winter ferns are beginning to show up.
