Station Number: ID-BK-27
Station Name: Inkom 5.5 N
Report Date: 10/5/2025
Submitted: 10/05/2025 7:13 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
General: We had an auspicious end to September, receiving a total of 1.48" of liquid, with a 5-year average of 1.438". October has gotten off to a great start. We've received 1.01" as of this morning, and our 4 year average is 1.16". We've got a freeze warning for tonight, and I would be very surprised if we don't see snow on Scout Mountain when the sun comes up.
Agriculture: The moisture collection is great for dryland farming.
Energy: We're entering our low-production season for sure. Yesterday was cloudy and rainy, and we produced 6.39 kWHR and used 16.7 kWHR. The day before was sunny and had a significant gain of production over use, but those clear days are in the decline as we go into Fall and winter.
Fire: Low danger today
Plants and wildlife: Still quite a few deer in our little area (as our dog will attest), and the hunters for birds are starting to emerge. Deer season opens this week up here, so it will be the end of deer sightings.
Water: the recent rains have helped a lot. What we get now is what Pocatello uses later.
