Illinois Drought Monitor still has my station on the border of Moderate and Severe Drought. Have had traces of snow 4 of  the past 7 days, and had 3.2 inches (0.22 liquid precip) of snow over night. Total of 6 inches of snow on ground. Only 1/2 inch of snow had melted off the snow pack this week - days and night temps have been below normal. Have seen several coyotes during the day and several stray cats eating bird seed that has fallen from the feeders. A flock of 7 blue birds have frequented our heated bird bath.
