Station Name: Griswold 0.9 N
Report Date: 1/23/2022
Submitted: 1/23/2022 12:44 PM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
Since my last report on 1/15/2022 there has been 1.73" of precipitation. The water level in Hopeville Pond is a little lower than normal, with plenty of good quality and available water for animals and human use. The animals are still using the pond and surrounding areas to their advantage with sightings of deer, foxes, raccoon prints, water fowl, and some birds. A lot of action is seen at the deer feeder. Now that the pond is starting to freeze over there are ice fishermen and kids skating on the pond. According to the weatherman we have had less than normal snowfall this season, the shoreline is -2.75" less than normal, while inland areas are -10.50" less than normal.
