Description: Even with 4.59 inches of rain fall this month we are still in drought continue. Most row crop farmer in this area has both water and dry land crops will be able to come out fair, but those that farm dry crop only will do good to break even because of less number of harvest grain brushes. Cattle farm with the warm temperature and rainfall was able to get one more small cutting of hay and the pasture will remain green for another month or two because of the weather. Wildlife management was help by the rain and warmer weather allowing food plots to be planted and deer hunters are setting up feeder to keep the deer and other wildlife healthy before hunting season in November. Home owner like my self feed over 50 lb. of birdseed to the birds per month to keep them healthy. Ponds; creeks ; rivers and lakes did not gain any water from the October rainfall because there was no run off. We was able to catch and store about 1600 gallon of rain water in our rain barrow from the October rainfall. This keep us from using city water to water the fall garden.
