Notes
Snow most of the day yesterday reached almost 4" at the peak late in the day; very wet snow with some rain, required removal of the funnel and inner tube of the rain gage due to snow piling up on the funnel. The gage had 75% water this morning, possibly due to some melting during the night (in addition to the rain). This moisture is certainly welcome for the hay fields which were already lush green. Extremely heavy fog in early morning limiting visibility to maybe less than one tenth mile. Now at report time (9:30 AM) the sun is shining brightly on this beautiful winter wonderland, especially where layers of fog have lifted revealing parts of white North Mamm Peak.
