Notes
Looked outside at 4am and saw very sparse snow fall, and again at 9am. Snow got heavier at about 11am. I went out to drive NE to town at 12 noon and the roads were so icy that I turned around and went back. The highway was closed to traffic from 5:30 pm to 6:30pm due to two separate accidents where two single cars slid into a rock wall. Many people said the 3 miles NE of Pinewood Springs was just ice, and took approx. 45 min. to an 2 hours to get thru. At 7:30pm the sand and salt finally made the road driveable. Here the snow only accumulated to about 1". Nothing new overnight. At 12 midnight it was 12 degrees. In morning at 10 am it was 25 degrees.
